Olympias Music Foundation Programme

Olympias Music Foundation transforms access to music education for young people experiencing low income in Manchester. From our roots as a student-led group, we have grown into an award-winning charity that provides sustained access to exceptional music education for 180 young people weekly, and cultural opportunities to families who might otherwise be excluded by cost.

Through free instrument tuition, ensemble training, performances and mentorship, we nurture musical excellence alongside confidence, resilience and discipline that create pathways to further education, employment, and lifelong engagement with the arts.

Young people really enjoy the programme, with one saying: “I enjoy each week, you can see the progress you’re making and that builds and builds until you can play the whole piece . I felt proud [at orchestra] when I could play out confidently, play all the right notes, you know – be successful in the music.”

Lessons take place in Longsight library every weekday from 4-8pm during term time. To join the programme, please get in touch via info@olympiasmusic.com.
